You have the choice of traveling by MRT, Private Car, Bus, Taxis, Bicycle, and Foot to explore the vibrant city.
There are six taxi companies, who together put out over 28,000 taxis on the road. Taxis are a popular form of public transport as the fares are relatively cheap compared to many other developed countries.
ComfortDelGro, SMRT Taxis, TransCab, Silvercab and Prime Taxis allows flagdown and bookings.
While there are a small number of privately operated Yellow-Top taxis, their numbers are continually shrinking since no new private licenses have been issued since the 1970s, existing licenses are not transferable, and their holders have to retire at age 75.
